Deploy your first app

This walks through signing in, creating a project, and deploying an app.

1. Install and sign in

sh
bash <(curl -fsSL https://yomia.ke/install.sh)
yomia login

login opens your browser to approve a code. The token is stored locally and can be revoked any time with yomia logout.

2. Create a project

A project groups your services and comes with a production environment. Link the current folder to it:

sh
yomia init shop

Later, in another folder, link to an existing project with yomia link shop [--env staging].

3. Deploy an app

From a folder with your code:

sh
yomia deploy web

Yomia builds the folder into an image and runs it. To deploy a prebuilt image instead:

sh
yomia deploy hello --image nginxinc/nginx-unprivileged:alpine --port 8080

Or deploy straight from a Git repo:

sh
yomia deploy web --repo user/web
yomia deploy api --repo https://gitlab.com/acme/shop.git --branch staging --path services/api

4. Give it a URL

sh
yomia domain public web

This assigns a public subdomain. To attach your own domain, see Domains.

5. Watch it run

sh
yomia apps # list apps and their status
yomia apps show web # details
yomia logs web -f # follow logs (shows the crash if it's crash-looping)
